Volunteer
In river systems like the Fraser River, citizen scientists—including anglers, guides, and recreational users—help monitor fish populations, water conditions, and ecological changes. Over 60 volunteers are mobilized on the Fraser River, to help collect vital data in the field and conduct large-scale monitoring of White Sturgeon through our Tagging Program.
Please note: We are not currently accepting volunteers through our Tagging Program, but we will share updates when more resources become available.
Lend your time, share your passion, make an impact!
At the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society, we are incredibly proud to work alongside a passionate community of volunteers—both in the field and behind the scenes—who help power our mission to conserve and protect the majestic White Sturgeon of the Fraser River. From sharing the sturgeon story at trade shows and exhibits, to assisting with setup and activities at our annual fundraising event, there are many ways to get involved. These opportunities are especially valuable for students in relevant fields looking to gain experience and make connections.
